BAY MINETTE, Alabama -- North Baldwin Center for Technology students recently participated in competitions and leadership workshops at the 2012 SkillsUSA Leadership Conference, Career Expo, and State Championships in Birmingham.

Students were judged in more than 80 competitive categories in areas including carpentry, electrical technology, video production, cosmetology, automotive and more.

SkillsUSA is devoted to preparing students for postsecondary learning and careers in technical, skilled, and service occupations. Nationally, this organization serves more than 300,000 high school, college and professional members with almost 9,000 members from Alabama.
