Mission Statement

            The Mission Statement of Baldwin County High School is to facilitate learning for all students to enable then to lead fulfilling and productive lives in an increasingly complex society.

Beliefs

            In order to accomplish our mission, the faculty, staff and administrators believe:

      * All students can learn

      * That each student is a valued individual with unique intellectual, physical, social, emotional, and moral needs.

      * Student learning is the chief priority for our school.

      * Teachers, staff, administrators, parents, and community members share in the responsibility for providing a supportive learning environment within our Baldwin County High School.

      * Clear goals and expectations for student achievement should guide the development of the curriculum and the design of instructional strategies and learning activities.

      * Students learn in different ways and should be provided with a variety of instructional approaches to support their learning.

      * Assessments of student learning should provide students with a variety of opportunities to demonstrate their achievement and authentic contexts to apply their learning.

      * Students will become productive citizens so that they can meet the demands of a rapidly changing technological society.
