BCHS Student Parking Guidelines

2025/2026 Parking Contract

Parking Permit: $40

The following are the guidelines that all licensed student drivers are required to follow. All student drivers and their parents are required to sign a parking contract before a parking permit is issued. Parking on campus is a privilege. Vehicles that have not been registered may be ticketed.

Parking Regulations:

  1. All vehicles parked on school grounds must be registered with the school and must display the current parking tag on the rearview mirror. Parking privileges may be revoked if the permit is not displayed correctly. A Driver’s License is REQUIRED to register a vehicle.

  2. Under no circumstances should a car be parked without a parking permit/tag. Cost for replacement is $5.00.

  3. Vehicles should always be locked and secured while on school property. The school is not responsible for stolen items or damage to vehicles while parked on school property.

  4. BCHS reserves the right to tow any vehicle, at the owner's expense, that is illegally parked in violation of school rules/policy or that has been left unattended for more than 24 hours. Vehicles parked on school grounds without proper identification may also be towed at the owner’s expense.

  5. Failure to obey driving and parking regulations or driving in an unsafe manner on school grounds, may result in a disciplinary action such as loss of parking privileges, lunch detention, placing a boot on the vehicle, or other disciplinary measures including on/off campus suspension/expulsion.

  6. Students are expected to display their parking permit/tag from the rearview mirror and park in the assigned spot. IF you do not have a parking permit and you are parked in the parking lot, you will be assigned a consequence and/or be towed.

  7. Students who park on school grounds agree to and understand that an inspection/search of vehicles may be conducted if a principal, assistant principal, superintendent, or assistant superintendent have reasonable suspicion to believe that an inspection is necessary to prevent, impede, or substantially reduce the risk of:

    1. Interference with school purpose or education function.

    2. A physical injury or illness to any person.

    3. Damage to personal or school property.

    4. A violation of state law or school rules.

Transportation

The mission of the Baldwin County Board of Education Transportation Department is to provide the safest, most efficient bus transportation for all students attending Baldwin County Schools.

Transportation is available for students attending Baldwin County High School. Contact Assistant Principal, Tameka Crook, for all questions or concerns regarding student bus transportation.

Bus Conduct

While the Board offers, as needed, a system of student transportation, it also requires parents of students to accept responsibility for supervision until the child boards the bus in the morning and after the child leaves the bus at the end of the school day. Students must obey all instructions given by the driver and all school and Board policies while riding the bus. Students cannot leave the bus except at their regular stop without written permission from a parent and an administrator. Only at the time that a child boards the bus does he/she become the responsibility of the school district. such responsibility shall end when the child is discharged at the regular bus stop at the end of the school day. When a child does not conduct himself/herself properly on a bus, the bus driver will write a referral or bring him/her to the building principal, who may inform the parents of the misconduct and behavior. The principal or his designee will also discipline students as deemed appropriate. A child who becomes a serious disciplinary problem on the school bus may have his transportation privileges suspended or terminated. In such cases, the parents of the child involved will become responsible for transporting their child to and from school.
